We're so Hollywood

Sorry for the lack of activity here on Filmguys. Ian and I have been insanely busy since February, including a move back to Florida for me and a new degree coming in the near future for Ian. The site will become active again as soon as we have enough free time to start writing posts again. Sorry again for the delay, please keep checking back to see if we've stopped being lazy!

CHEERS!

We're so Hollywood

Sorry for no posts from me this week. I've been swamped with work lately, and on top of that, my comp crashed on me and had to be in the shop for the last 5 days. On a good note though, I've got my baby back and she's in wonderful working order. They had to replace her inverter, logic-board, and heatsink. Ugh.. glad this week is over.

CHEERS!

Alex Vo of rottentomatoes.com had a great interview with Alfonso Cuaro, the director of Children of Men, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and y tu mama tambien. The interview can be found on Rotten Tomatoe's website, or click here to read it.

I just thought it was an interesting interview. Enjoy! -Tig

P.S.- Oh yea.. it is gonna be a slow week for reviews.. Ian just got his new Wii!

Ian has some glasses FilmGuys Lives!

   We

Well, the site is finally live. It’s been an extremely long process. Tig and I started thinking about making FilmGuys several months ago while sitting in a bar, knocking back Jack and Cokes and verbally beating the Movie that Shall Not Be Named (look in the About Us section for the title, as I cannot bear to utter it ever again). We simply could not understand why so many critics had given it such positive reviews. I understand now that it is a lack of testicular prowess in the greater movie critic world that led to this travesty (or at least that’s what I believe), but at that point, it was mind-boggling.

And so we returned to our apartment, registered the domain name “filmguys.com,” and watched Boondock Saints to celebrate. A lot of work has gone into this site since then, and I only hope that we will continue to put as much effort into it now that it is finally published. I’m sure that the fistful of tickets we’re going to buy every opening night are going to take their toll on our wallets (since we don’t have access to advanced screenings), but it’s a price we’re willing to pay.

So we’re in business, so to speak. Thanks for stopping by, leave pleanty of comments to let us know when our asinine ranting have gone too far, and bother us on AIM when you see fit. We’re always awake… there are a lot of movies out there to watch.
